Special Events & Classes
Free Family Night! October 21, 5pm-7pm The Pottery Playhouse staff will keep the children busy painting their college fund piggy banks while the parents attend a free seminar regarding college savings plans, hosted by A.G. Edwards & Sons, Inc. Mark your calendars and reserve your spot ASAP. Seating & piggy bank painting are limited to 25 people. Reservations are required. Please call Drew Ecklund or Jamie McManus at 724-837-7443 to reserve your family's FREE night out! (children must be 4 years old to paint) Pottery Glaze-Wednesdays Try one of our Pottery Glaze on a piece and there's no studio fee. Pottery Glazes are simple to use and all pieces turn out beautiful. 2 for 1 Night- Fridays 5pm-8:30pm Bring a friend and pay one studio fee! (The lesser amount studio fee will be deducted) Call ahead to reserve your table or simply walk in.
Painting/Technique Classes Fall Leaf Design-Thursday, October 12- 6:30pm-8:00pm It's that time of the year where we can use real leaves to create a beautiful pieces of pottery. You bring in leaves choose your piece then we'll teach you how to do this technique. Reservations required. Class fee:$6.00 Halloween Bowl-Thursday, October 19- 6:00pm-8:00pm Join us in painting a Halloween bowl with ghost, spiders and creatures. Cost: $35.00 + tax. Advanced registration required Turkey Handprint Platter- Sunday, Nov. 5 1:30pm-3:30 & Saturday, Nov.11- 9am-11am Bring your children in during these hours to create a Turkey Handprint Platter then decorate it together. You choose the piece then we'll teach you the rest. Reservations required! Turkey Handprint Platter-Family Class $6.00
CLAY CLASSES KinderClay (Age 3-6) Thursdays - 10am-11am & 1pm-2pm Join your child in creating clay masterpieces in this fun class. A different project each week. Reservations are required. One adult per child. Cost:$15.00/person. Clay Puzzler (Age 7+) Saturday, Oct. 14 & 21 or Tuesday, Oct. 17 & 24 This is a 2 part class sessions for kids age 7 and up. Part 1: Kids work with clay to create their unique masterpiece. Part 2: Kids paint their clay project. All supplies are provided by the studio and included in the price of the session. All materials are non-toxic. Cost: $50.00 (plus tax). Registration required. Coke Can Boxes (Age 7+) - Saturday, Oct. 28 & Nov. 4 or Tuesday, Nov. 7 &14 This is a 2 part class sessions for kids age 7 and up. Part 1: Kids work with clay to create their unique masterpiece. GLASS FUSION Beginners Glass Fusion- Wednesday, Nov 8, 12-2pm or Thursday, Nov. 9, 6pm-8pm
Ever heard of confetti? How about stringers? Frit? Sign up for this
class in November and you’ll learn far more than the vocabulary of
glass fusion. You’ll go home with vibrant, multi-dimensional pieces
of jewlery that will be a conversation starter in any room. Trust
us. It’s very cool!!
Glass fusion is an art form taking the country by storm. Take this
class to understand the basic then in our December class you'll
learn how to design using crushed glass, confetti glass and strings
of glass. Make a 4” piece of tabletop or wall art. We fire it in the
kiln and you can pick it up in a couple of days.
Children 9 + are welcomed with a
participating adult. Cost: $35.00 Class is limited to10. Reservations required.
Loved beginning Glass Fusion? Now you can add to your skills by
learning how to cut glass, piece it together using solid glass
pieces in addition to frit, stringer and confetti in your final
design. We will slump your creation
